Frank - You are really testing my patience. After following a few of your links all you can offer is about a couple dozen murders and violent crimes spread over decades, committed by people not following Watchtower doctrine. The JWs doctrines do not teach murder or rape. These people were acting on there own. And one was not a JW at the time. He was a lunatic who thought he was Christ!

And I am looking over Awake May 22/94. There are 28 children pictured as having died, again spread out over a number of years. In each featured story, the child consented and the judge concurred. In this same issue it has the dramatic statement - "In former times thousands of youths died for putting God first" pg 2. It doesn't explain what this refers to but I got the impression you were using this to pad your numbers. Correct me if I'm wrong. This # isn't about blood transfusions. When I find a scanner I will post pg 31 which has real figures - 1050 dead and 3850 infected with AIDS due to blood tranfusions. That was 1994. Project to 2007 and do the arithmetic.

According to the Ontario Consultants on Religious Tolerance:

Possibly 1,455 JW Women Died Between 1995 and 2006 Due to Refusing Blood

Note that is says "Possibly". You made out that this was the actual figure. No figure was given here. There were about a dozen deaths mentioned at the end of the article. Can you supply an actual number and offset it with the number who would have died anyways and those who may have died as a result - AIDS?

So far you're still shy of the 1000s. If you are going to give me this in installments, don't bother. Wayne

Hi Poppers - The above, from your post, is a wonderful thought. The only thing wrong with it is that the only thing in common on this site is a dislike and even hatred of Jehovah's Witnesses.No one is suggesting which path is the right path.

While I concede that I can't "make" anyone go away, I'm trying my best to "persuade" them to not only leave JWs alone, but to go after the real rapists, murderers, and liars in our midst.To remind myself once again why I do this, I revisited the MacGregor Ministries home page. There I was confronted with "Are pedophiles knocking on your door?"

I'm all fuelled up for another week now!

I live in a city of churches. Within one city block there are about 10 churches. It isn't as if once you are "free" you will not be accepted elsewhere. There are churches and groups all over the place with no rules. Gay? Drugs? Smoke? Cheat on you taxes? Live common law? There's a place right around the corner for you.

Where I live was home to a well publicized young terrorist caught a few years ago. I think he's dead now. Our local mosque (only 2 blocks from me) was torched. I live only 20 miles from Niagara Falls generating plant, which was considered a terrorist target.

But beware the JW child molester at your door.

Popper - You meditated for 30 years and quit. Why? I did TM (the non-religious kind) for 1 month in the 70s and quit. It has been shown to relieve stress and it's been said that if a certain % did it all would be peace and harmony in the world. Wayne

"Murder is murder, whether one is slain or a million are slain" You are right. That innocent JWs were murdered by people in Malawi is terrible. JWs don't murder!

Who cares whether the murders were listed first or last? Murder is murder! Don't you understand that? If Watchtower

What I care about is that you said 1000s, and if you know anything about journalism, you know that 1000s would be first and foremost in any list. It would be proclaimed everywhere, in all major newspapers, especially if JWs were involved!. Major papers have reporters in the most obscure places.

Frank. Thanks for not being able to substantiate your outrageous accusations against my friends. I knew you couldn't.

Poppers - you seem to be a thinker. Of course no one can prove God or the Bible. We won't know until that fateful day, assuming there is an afterlife. Since no one has come back to tell us, we must find out for ourselves.

My only purpose on this site is to make hatemongers, with no other purpose, go away. I feel that will make the world a better place.

Frank - You are right. On rereading, you didn't say millions died. But why would you say I wouldn't care if it happened?

The above is an extract about Malawi. It mentions houses burned, 2 rapes, beatings, torture, and at the end, murder. Don't you think murder would be first on this list if it had been the 1000s you mentioned in a July 8 post? You aren't by any chance fond of slight exaggeration are you? Besides, these atrocities happened because of their (the member's) beliefs. It was perpetrated by evil people.

And why did you not catch my error when I stated all 237 Jehovah's in NT are OT quotes? We were both asleep on that one. It doesn't change my point, though.

But you, a 50 year JW, and me never having set foot in a Kingdom Hall.

Frank - As you and everyone knows, the burden of proof lies with the accuser. You take a handful of sensational cases and turn it into 1000s. Or is it millions as in your last post?

In my lifetime of reading three daily newspapers, I've read of maybe a couple dozen serious cases of one issue or another. That's about one per year, including some I probably forgot about. And I failed to find the post where you insist that you proved 1000s.

And I find it telling that you are coming round to admitting that your information is inside information and not available. When you can finally divulge your source and prove it, I will be your biggest supporter. I would also have to know that the members, such as my friends, are in on this and worthy or your condemnation.

Accusations as serious as you made demand proof that would hold up in court.

You don't put "Jehovah's Witnesses" and "Pedophiles" in the same header and require people to search to find what the article is about. I believe that is called "leading".

Personal anecdotes that you and others use do not substitute for evidence. And a poster was correct - Your idiotic cartoons are not amusing!

I told you I was seeking out info on the Divine name, but you distracted me from that for the time being. There are more pressing matters at this time!

In your one post, you said 1000s died from a silly requirement in Africa, 1000s died from their stand on BTs, 100s died from heartbreak.

So? Where's the contradiction? What's the fuss?

But anyways, how many is "many"? Did this issue give a figure? Was it the 1000s you mentioned? If not, you're a little shy on proof.

Again, Wayne, I say you're simply playing games. Whether it was one or one million who died from the Watchtower's errors in teaching, it doesn't seem to matter to you. Loyalty to an organization invented by sinful humans means more to you than obedience to God's commands against murder. That is truly sad and nauseating.

Frank, I would say that your accusation that 1000s died because of rules, and your implication that JWs somehow condone child molestation, and that they support murder far outways my puny mistakes. You made extremely serious charges against a group that includes my friends (who have beatiful homes, nice cars, computers, pension plans, and want for nothing).

I'm not going away until people like you go away!

And, by the way, when you can supply me with proof that 1000s died. don't bother me again. Spew your garbage elsewhere! Wayne

Thank you for evading important doctrinal points and centering on my grammar and occasional mistake ( which I correct as soon as spotted). Having been a writer for thirty years, I note that you have an unusual slant on the English language. And as for my intelligence, I have challenged you, but you sidestep by changing the subject.

I take it you can not defend your statement about 1000s dying from the BT rules. Let's leave it at that. Wayne

Careful, Wayne. I never used the term "liars." In fact you introduced the term by saying "Then tell me whether the Witnesses or MacGregor are liars!" That may be your kind of language, but it isn't mine. Either you are lying or you are telling the truth about your being a JW. I say you are lying. If you are not a baptized JW, you are a JW one hundred percent at heart. There is no difference. You defend them and their errors as if your life depended upon it. I think it's hypocritical to pretend that you are merely a detached spectator when in fact you are an ardent JW apologist.

Frank - Are you stark raving mad. You just called me a liar twice in this post and once in a previous. "Either you are lying" and "I say you are lying" sound awfully like you are saying I'm a liar. What planet are you from?
